Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The last trading session of the outgoing calendar year opened higher on Thursday on the both bourses in Bangladesh.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) advanced 15.01 points while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 11.40 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 15.01 points or 0.36 per cent to at 4,619.93 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 6.40 points or 0.36 per cent to stand at 1,748.0 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 3.61 points or 0.32 per cent to reach at 1,108.23.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 204 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 104 advanced, 39 declined and 32 issues remained unchanged.
Emerald Oil was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 28 million changing hands followed by Olympic Industries, United Power Generation and Distribution Company and Atlas Bangladesh.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX – gaining 11.40 points to stand at 8,546.96 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 27 gained, 13 declined 8 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 6.69 million.
