Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The ministry of livestock and fisheries is going to finalize the draft of national shrimp policy on Sunday aiming to increase shrimp production through planned shrimp cultivation activities, officials said.
The new national shrimp policy would help boost production considering all environmental aspects by using sustainable technology in a bid to help meet the growing domestic demand.
An inter-ministerial meeting will be held at the secretariat in Dhaka on the day to finalize the draft of national shrimp policy-2012 as per decision of the 31st meeting of the parliamentary standing committee on livestock and fisheries, they added.
